Change-Maker

 How to become a Change-Maker

Have you thought about now what it takes to make a lasting impact in the world? How does one make a difference in their ideas, innovation, creation, and service? I have thought about the thing that makes people stand out, and why others don't stand out. I think it involves a couple things, but one of them is adaptability, and being able to think ahead, quickly, and think unselfishly. One of the keys to success I believe is to be always unselfish, striving to serve others before yourself.

I read a talk this week that was titled, "Are we not all beggars?" by Jeffrey R. Holland. It was really helpful to me to remember that we are all in the same boat in this life, just striving to make it back to our Heavenly Father. He loves all of us the same, and we all have similar needs to be met in life too. We have more similarities than differences in the end. The talk was about how we need to be more merciful to others, have compassion to people that are having hard times. I think this is a very important attribute to have as a leader and as someone who will make a change-be a Change Maker. Those who live significant lives are people that give more to others than they expect in return. It takes a lot of humility to get to this point, and hard work every day.

Another thing I think it takes to be a Change-Maker is to be unique, embrace your authenticity in creating something new that's never been done before. People often don't believe in themselves or their ideas just because they haven't seen it done yet before. But, all the great people in history that have left a lasting impact on us, and changed the world, have to be courageous to do something that was not done before. Just trust yourself, you have nothing to loose if your idea doesn't work! You will know after if it was plausible or a good idea then. You will never know until you try.

Overall, I think that in order to make a significant impact in the world and in people's lives, you need to become different than others. You will need to be unique, authentic, and a great exemplar on how to lead a life of love for others. You will need to serve more than to be served to, and be humble, selfless, innovative, and quick on your feet if change is necessary. People who make great changes in business, society, people's lives in general, will be the ones who adapt these traits.
