How to Dream

 How to Dream Big

Have you ever thought about what it means to have a dream? What do you remember from when you were little, and said 'I want to be _____ when I grow up?' We often forget about those dreams when we grow older. Why did we have that dream when we were little, then? What is it about children that makes them feel like they deserve those dreams or that they are capable of achieving them?

You have to remember when you were little and confident in yourself, to remember who you are really inside. Often, we can still really keep those dreams in mind when we grow up. When we keep those dreams, we can feed ourselves hope and a purpose in life. In order to grow your business as an entrepreneur, you need to think about the general theme and main reasons for your dreams that you had when you were a child. This can help you figure out what you really want out of your business that you are creating now, and why. This will drive your vision for your business today.

I think that this week, I really was able to learn why I need to dream even bigger than I did when I was little, too. When we are little, sometimes we are fed ideas that make us not believe in ourselves. Sometimes people put us down and tell us we will never be able to do that, that we are not 'like those people,' and that we need to be more realistic. However, now as an adult, we had the mental development in our brains to think different. It still can be hard work for adults though, to change and re-wire our thinking from the way that we were raised. Often the voices of our parents can stay in our minds for a long time, when we try to become different than how we were raised to be.

This change is possible though, when we truly fuel our desire to achieve our dreams before we let our fear overtake us. We need to let our desire to change and become more, be larger than our complacency to stay as we are. This will help us list our dreams out, be confident in them, share them with others, work every day, or week at least, to do something to get closer to them. This will help us keep the dreams that we had as children become fulfilled, if not even greater than they were before.
